COBOL Mainframe Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a COBOL Mainframe Application Developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy code on a mainframe platform based on user specifications
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes
• Provide technical assistance in solving software problems and assist in training junior developers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 15 years of COBOL programming experience in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment
• Expertise in Job Control Language (JCL)
• Experience with mainframe technologies including IMS DB, CA7, DB2/SQL, and CICS
• Production support experience, including break-fix support and permanent fixes in production
