Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Appeals Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate medical coding principles and objectivity in coding appeals activities
Review and write appeals for outpatient coding and inpatient DRG denials
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude

Required Qualifications:

Active coding certification (i.e. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CPC, COC, etc.)
Knowledge of appeals concepts and principles
Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems
Ability to analyze and use independent judgement
Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and policy compliance issues related to medical coding and billing procedures
