Coding Education Specialist

Job Summary

Designing and implementing coding education programs, the full-time remote Coding Education Specialist will oversee training for medical coders, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and enhancing the revenue cycle management process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update coding education curriculum based on current guidelines and best practices
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars on various coding topics for coders and related staff
• Create engaging e-learning modules and provide ongoing education to keep coding staff informed of advancements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field preferred
• 2-3 years of coding experience required; 1-2 years of teaching experience preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CCS, CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CHC, or CPB
• In-depth understanding of coding guidelines and compliance regulations
• Strong instructional skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles
