Coding Integrity Specialist I

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Integrity Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate hospital outpatient medical record documentation to assign, sequence, edit, and validate ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT codes
• Apply coding guidelines and criteria for code selections
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards, initiate physician queries, and stay updated on coding knowledge and skills

Required Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent, undergraduate degree in HIM/HIT preferred
• One year of acute care outpatient coding experience, three years of healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Licensure or certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, or CPC preferred
