Coding Quality Assurance Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Assurance Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Review a minimum of 50 records per month for accurate coding of CPT-4 and ICD-9 codes
• Administer coding examinations and provide educational feedback to coders
• Distribute quality assurance reports and updated coding policy manuals monthly

Required Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding for commercial and federal payers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Coding certification (CPC, CCS-P, or RHIT/RHIA) required within one year of employment
• Minimum of three years of professional services coding experience
