Coding Quality Assurance Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Assurance Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts Quality Assurance reviews for approximately 35-40 coders monthly, ensuring accuracy of CPT coding
• Monitors and manages QA processes, including placing records on hold and finalizing results while adhering to close schedules
• Enters audited findings into the system and communicates with billing centers regarding QA outcomes and documentation issues

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• A coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS-P, or RHIT) or 5 years of coding experience with an acceptable QA score
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to maintain a Quarterly QA score below the standard threshold
