Coding Quality Educator

Job Summary

Supporting the PCN Coding Integrity Team, the full-time remote Coding Quality Educator will assist with training new employees, deliver ongoing education, conduct coding reviews, and develop documentation to enhance coding practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with new employee training and ongoing department education related to coding and clinical documentation
• Conduct independent and collaborative provider coding reviews according to the coding integrity work plan
• Develop and deliver provider education and training to improve coding and documentation practices

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Health Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• National Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders or the American Health Information Management Association upon hire
• 4 years of experience in professional fee inpatient, surgical, outpatient coding, auditing, and related work
• 4 years of experience conducting medical coding provider audits and preparing audit reports with recommendations
• Strong experience in Excel and other PC applications in a Windows environment
