Coding Quality Educator

Job Summary

Supporting the PCN Coding Integrity Team, the full-time remote Coding Quality Educator will assist with training new employees, develop ongoing provider education related to coding and clinical documentation, and conduct coding reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with new employee training and ongoing education for coding teams
• Identify, develop, and deliver provider education and training on coding practices
• Conduct independent and collaborative coding reviews and prepare documentation to support findings

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Health Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders or American Health Information Management Association upon hire
• 4 years of experience in professional fee coding, auditing, and related work
• 4 years of experience conducting medical coding audits and providing education for documentation improvement
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other PC applications in a Windows environment
