Coding Quality Educator

Job Summary

Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the PCN Coding Integrity Team, the full-time remote Coding Quality Educator will provide training for new employees, develop ongoing provider education related to coding and clinical documentation, and conduct coding reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate new employee training and ongoing education for coding staff
• Develop and deliver provider education on coding and clinical documentation
• Conduct independent and collaborative coding reviews and prepare documentation to support findings

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Health Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• National Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders or the American Health Information Management Association upon hire
• 4 years of professional coding experience, including auditing and related work
• 4 years of experience conducting medical coding provider audits and preparing audit reports
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other database applications in a Windows environment
