Coding Quality Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Specialist (Inpatient/Outpatient Facility).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex retrospective analysis of medical records to identify coding and billing errors
• Provide second-level review of codes to ensure compliance with legal and procedural policies
• Maintain QA percentages within internal quality goals and assist in improving coder productivity

Required Qualifications

• Recognized coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC; CPC or CCS preferred
• 5-7 years of experience coding and/or auditing in an acute care facility or clinic
• Familiarity with hospital outpatient billing processes and coding guidelines
• Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
