Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient billing processes, the full-time Coding Specialist will review and code patient accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations while working remotely from designated states.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing patient accounts for accuracy and completeness in coding
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to coding practices
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies and improve documentation

Required qualifications

• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
• Experience in coding for professional billing (PB) in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record systems
• Must reside in IL, IN, IA, WI, OH, MO, MI, or FL
