Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist, EM.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine medical records to assign proper ICD and CPT codes
• Utilize coding tools to verify the correctness of assigned codes
• Maintain knowledge of current coding trends and government regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or more coding credentials required within 12 months of employment (e.g., CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA)
• Less than 24 months of ED professional coding experience
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
