Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Supervisor of Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Coding Team, ensuring adequate staffing and timely completion of coding tasks
• Perform ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding, and conduct retrospective reviews for coding accuracy
• Coordinate training and development for coding staff and monitor compliance with coding standards and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management with an RHIT or CCS required; Bachelor's degree with an RHIA preferred
• 3-5 years of managerial experience in health information management preferred
• 2-4 years of facility coding experience required
• Ability to obtain and maintain RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online learning platforms
