Coding Support Data Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Support Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Abstract daily volumes of clinical information into CRA and TruCode at a minimum 97% accuracy rate
• Monitor and respond to coding support requests within specified timeframes
• Transfer medical codes from EHR into proprietary systems and scan charts into those systems

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior experience in healthcare data entry, coding support, or revenue cycle operations
• Basic knowledge of healthcare data and EHR systems, with preference for CRA, TruCode, or Themis
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
• Familiarity with EMR systems including Epic, Meditech, Cerner, etc
