Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coding Education Specialist for Inpatient Medicine, to provide initial and ongoing training to coding staff, research coding issues, and develop training processes, all in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train new hires and provide ongoing education to existing coding staff
- Develop electronic training modules, education materials, and perform coder audits
- Research new coding topics, participate in coding meetings, and assist in revising standard operating procedures
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- RHIT, RN, CPC, or CCS-P accreditation
- Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
- Knowledge of payer and coding guidelines
- Proficiency in using personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint
