Collateral Underwriter
Job Summary
Responsible for assessing collateral for conventional loans, the full-time remote Collateral Underwriter will analyze appraisal reports, complete collateral reviews, and maintain communication with appraisers and processors to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate appraisal reports according to agency and investor standards
- Conduct comprehensive collateral reviews to meet service level expectations
- Communicate issues and maintain a pipeline with appraisers, processors, and originators
Required qualifications:
- 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Experience in collateral underwriting is preferred
- Working knowledge of agency and investor underwriting policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced analytical skills
