Collateral Underwriter
Job Summary
Reviewing and analyzing collateral for loans, the full-time Collateral Underwriter will assess appraisal reports and collateral risk while ensuring compliance with guidelines in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and render decisions on appraisal report escalations according to company and investor guidelines
- Complete comprehensive collateral reviews while meeting established service-level expectations
- Manage a pipeline of collateral files and communicate issues with Appraisers, Processors, Customers, and Account Executives/Loan Originators
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Collateral Underwriting or Valuation Review and/or a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- Working knowledge of investor underwriting guidelines and policies
- Strong prioritization and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service
