Job Summary

As a full-time Collection Counselor I working remotely, the candidate will manage delinquent accounts by making and receiving high volumes of calls, counseling borrowers on payment options, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to resolve delinquent accounts and establish repayment plans
• Provide counsel to borrowers on their financial status and options for meeting payment obligations
• Document all collection activities and maintain mortgage collection systems in accordance with established guidelines

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of collection or customer service experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and loan servicing platforms
• Ability to understand and explain financial matters effectively
• Demonstrated negotiation skills with assertiveness and empathy
