Collection Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Collection Representative will manage follow-ups on assigned accounts to ensure timely payments, contact various stakeholders to expedite collections, and resolve account issues while maintaining relationships with patients and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on assigned accounts to achieve high cash flow until resolved or referred to collections
• Contact patients, employers, insurance companies, and government agencies to expedite payments
• Handle inquiries and complaints regarding the collection process, ensuring effective resolution and documentation

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in insurance processing, collections, or customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of medical insurance billing and legal processes
• No licensure or certification required
