Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily goals for cash collections and accounts receivable are met
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary actions to resolve them in a timely manner
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and review insurance remittance advices for accuracy

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
• Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
