Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily accomplishments work towards company goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection action to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and interact with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
• A minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
• Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Solid Microsoft Office skills required, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
