Job Summary
A company is looking for a PFS Collection Specialist responsible for collecting commercial, government, and patient balances.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor outstanding account balances and determine the next steps in the collection process
- Follow up on claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
- Generate paperwork including insurance claim forms and collection letters, and investigate denied or underpaid claims
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Computer proficiency and experience in windows-based technologies
- Prior work experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
- Ability to work as part of a team and respond positively in stressful situations
