Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist / Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days are met
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary actions to resolve them in a timely manner
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and interact with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical collections
• Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Familiarity with basic accounting practices and coding systems such as ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
