Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily accomplishments align with company goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and review insurance remittance advices for accuracy

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
• Experience with automated billing systems; CPR+ experience preferred
• Knowledge of metric measurements, basic accounting practices, and medical coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
