Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days are met
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions to resolve issues promptly
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and interact with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of various insurance reimbursements
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Knowledge of basic accounting practices, ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
