Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely cash collections by managing assigned accounts and denied claims
• Research outstanding balances, take necessary collection actions, and recommend demographic changes for future collections
• Review and resolve billing errors, negotiate payment plans, and interact with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and reimbursement processes
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is a plus
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
