Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve assigned accounts and denials to maximize timely payments
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions while adhering to compliance regulations
• Negotiate payment plans and identify patterns of denials or non-payment for reporting

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and reimbursement processes
• Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiently use a 10-key calculator
