Job Summary
To support the revenue cycle department, the full-time PFS Collection Specialist will manage the collection of commercial, government, and patient balances by following approved processes and procedures while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor outstanding account balances and follow up on claims and denials to ensure maximum reimbursement
- Generate necessary paperwork for insurance claims and collection letters while investigating and appealing denied claims
- Provide customer service by responding to inquiries from patients and payors, and assist patients in developing payment plans
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior work experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Computer proficiency and experience with windows-based technologies
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
