Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle department, the full-time PFS Collection Specialist will manage the collection of commercial, government, and patient balances by following approved processes and procedures while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitor outstanding account balances and follow up on claims and denials to ensure maximum reimbursement
  • Generate necessary paperwork for insurance claims and collection letters while investigating and appealing denied claims
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries from patients and payors, and assist patients in developing payment plans
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior work experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Computer proficiency and experience with windows-based technologies
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
