Collection Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Revenue Cycle Management team, the full-time remote Collection Specialist will manage medical accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and adherence to compliance regulations while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Work assigned accounts and denials to maximize cash collections and resolve outstanding balances promptly
• Research and take necessary actions on correspondence and claims, ensuring accurate submissions and follow-ups
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and identify trends in denials or payment issues for management review

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiency with a 10-key calculator
