Collection Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing Revenue Cycle Management team, the full-time Collection Specialist will manage medical accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payment and adherence to compliance standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively work assigned accounts and denials to maximize cash collections and resolve outstanding balances
• Research and take necessary actions on correspondence and claims, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and identify trends in denials or non-payments for further action

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college education is a plus
• A minimum of one year of experience in medical collections, with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursements
• Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiently use a 10-key calculator
