Job Summary
To support a growing Revenue Cycle Management team, the full-time Collection Specialist will manage medical accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payment and adherence to compliance standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively work assigned accounts and denials to maximize cash collections and resolve outstanding balances
- Research and take necessary actions on correspondence and claims, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
- Negotiate payment plans with patients and identify trends in denials or non-payments for further action
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college education is a plus
- A minimum of one year of experience in medical collections, with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursements
- Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to type 40 wpm and proficiently use a 10-key calculator
