Collections Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collections Accounting Specialist to consult on financial processes and optimize accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Product to enhance the financial lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Translate accounting challenges into product requirements and collaborate on improvements
• Engage with customers to identify workflow issues and gather feedback for product enhancements

Required Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of accounting experience in 3rd party debt collection environments
• Proven success in daily platform to GL reconciliation and resolving complex issues
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP relevant to collections and revenue recognition
• Experience in designing automated GL entries and managing trust accounts
• Hands-on experience with strict controls and audit readiness
