Collections Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing the day-to-day performance of the Collections team, the full-time remote Collections Manager will manage a portfolio of complex collection matters while developing strategies to mitigate loan portfolio risks and minimize losses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management of the Collections team, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize loan and share losses, negotiating payment arrangements with delinquent members
• Monitor collection performance metrics, managing repossessed and foreclosed collateral to maximize recovery for the Credit Union

Required qualifications

• 3 years of management experience and 5 years of related collections experience or equivalent education and experience
• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college
• Solid understanding of financial calculations and proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques
• Familiarity with member relationship management (CRM) software and data visualization tools
• Basic proficiency in Windows applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
