Collections Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Collections Representative will manage insurance provider communications to resolve payment issues, negotiate overdue claims, and handle billing inquiries while adhering to accounts receivable practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Contact insurance providers to determine reasons for payment delinquency and negotiate collection of overdue claims
• Handle unresolved billing inquiries and ensure compliance with collection policies and procedures
• Collaborate with legal counsel and outside agencies on complex collection cases as needed

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 1+ years of experience in hospital or facility collections
• 1+ years of experience with commercial claim and Medicare collections
• Experience working with insurance companies to verify denied claims
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
