Collections Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Mining Recovery Collections Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to healthcare providers to collect overpayments on erroneous claims
• Document collection activities and communicate regularly with insurance clients and providers
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and update management on call feedback

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least two years of experience in medical billing, collections, and customer service; bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge or experience with medical coding and regulations preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work independently in a standard office environment
