Collections Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collections Specialist II (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage collections of outstanding claims through direct payer contact and various systems
• Research and resolve payment issues/errors for insurance balances
• Update and verify insurance records to correct outstanding accounts

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of medical office or medical billing/collections experience
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9/10 codes
• Familiarity with insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) and claims processing requirements
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
