Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Collections Specialist, a full-time remote position, is responsible for researching unpaid claims, following up on denials, and ensuring timely claim adjudication.

Key Responsibilities

• Research unpaid claims and perform follow-up actions for timely claim adjudication
• Document actions taken related to account resolution within patient records
• Prioritize workflow to reduce bad debt flow and maintain productivity standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of medical collections experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and HCPCs
• Proficient in analyzing claims for reimbursement alignment with contracts
• No specific licenses or certifications required
