Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Leading collections efforts for a portfolio exceeding $40M, the full-time remote Collections Specialist will manage outreach, ensure timely cash application, and document all collection activities while striving to exceed collection goals and lower DSO.

Key responsibilities

• Perform collections outreach and manage a portfolio to exceed individual KPIs
• Research and reconcile misapplied or unapplied cash, completing month-end tasks accurately
• Document all collections efforts in the financial system and collaborate with Billing and Sales to resolve customer issues

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in accounts receivable and collections
• College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong cash application and credit card experience
• Proficient in Excel with strong negotiating skills
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
