Job Summary
Managing mid- to late-stage delinquent consumer accounts, the remote Collections Specialist will resolve past-due balances through borrower communication, negotiate payment arrangements, and conduct skip tracing to support account rehabilitation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage delinquent accounts via phone, email, and SMS while adhering to policies and regulations
- Negotiate payment arrangements and resolution strategies to reduce delinquency and prevent charge-offs
- Conduct skip tracing to re-establish contact with borrowers and maintain accurate account documentation
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of consumer collections experience, preferably with personal loans or consumer debt
- Experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated lending environments
- Working knowledge of collection-related regulations, including the FDCPA and Regulation F
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive borrower conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail within servicing systems
