Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of delinquent consumer loan accounts, the full-time Collections Specialist will engage directly with borrowers to resolve outstanding balances through proactive outreach and negotiation, while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume inbound and outbound communication with borrowers to collect payments and resolve delinquent accounts
• Negotiate repayment plans and settlements in accordance with company guidelines and loss mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations governing consumer debt collection practices

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in collections, customer service, call center operations, or financial services preferred
• Experience with loan servicing or collections systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a focus on achieving performance targets
