Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Researching unpaid claims and ensuring timely claim adjudication, the full-time remote Collections Specialist will manage denial root causes, communicate payer trends, and document account resolutions while adhering to productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Research unpaid claims and perform follow-up actions for timely adjudication
• Identify and manage billing for secondary or tertiary insurances
• Document actions taken related to account resolution within patient records

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of medical collections experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and HCPCs
• Proficient in analyzing claims for reimbursement alignment with contracts
• Ability to organize work and manage change effectively
