Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a driven Collections Specialist I to work remotely in a full-time capacity, who will manage collection calls and correspondence, engage with customers in a metrics-driven environment, and support the resolution of outstanding balances while fostering cooperative relationships with team members.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of outgoing collection calls and incoming inquiries, effectively resolving customer and branch questions
• Negotiate and reconcile customer disputes regarding outstanding balances while maintaining a strong customer focus
• Communicate effectively with customers and branch personnel to meet departmental and company goals

Required qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting or a relevant field
• At least 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting
• Strong foundation in spreadsheets, Excel, and Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable navigating multiple technologies while engaging with customers
