Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time remote Collections Specialist I will manage collection calls and correspondence, navigate multiple technologies while engaging with customers, and reconcile disputes related to outstanding balances.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of outgoing collection calls and incoming customer inquiries
• Communicate effectively with customers and branch personnel to resolve issues and meet departmental goals
• Negotiate and make decisions on customer accounts while demonstrating sensitivity in difficult situations

Required qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting or a relevant field
• At least 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting
• Strong foundation in spreadsheets, Excel, and Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable communicating in a metrics-driven environment
