Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Managing customer portfolios, the full-time remote Collections Specialist will perform proactive follow-ups on outstanding balances, resolve payment issues, and document collection activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance cash collections and reduce aging accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex collection portfolios, including escalated accounts and disputed receivables
• Partner with various stakeholders to identify payment barriers and drive timely resolutions
• Perform proactive follow-up on outstanding invoices and prepare collection updates for management review

Required qualifications

• 2-5+ years of accounts receivable, collections, or related finance experience
• Experience in collecting on professional services invoices within a project-based organization is preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payment issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite is preferred
