Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Collections Specialist will resolve outstanding payer balances by understanding payer policies, appealing denials, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve assigned accounts in a timely manner to maximize reimbursement in compliance with payer regulations
- Reassign clinical denial accounts to the appropriate teams and actively participate in team huddles to recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with peers and leaders to address payer issues impacting accounts receivable
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years of accounts receivable experience in a healthcare setting
- 1+ years of experience with Commercial, Medicare, or Medicaid payers
- Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday, with flexibility for 8-hour shifts during normal business hours
- Must be 18 years of age or older
