Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Collections Specialist will manage inbound and outbound calls with customers who are 30-120+ days delinquent, assisting them with repayment arrangements and utilizing soft-collection skills to mitigate losses.

Key responsibilities

• Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls to set up repayment arrangements and answer customer inquiries
• Utilize skip tracing and other methods to locate delinquent customers and prepare correspondence via email and text
• Work independently to meet collection quality and quantity goals while promoting positive interactions with customers and team members

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of collections experience
• Availability between 8 am-8 pm CST, including two late nights and up to two Saturdays per month
• Excellent phone etiquette and typing skills with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; experience with a CRM program is a plus
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions effectively
