Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Physician Revenue Cycle department, the full-time Collections Specialist will collect payments for assigned accounts, perform billing duties, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while telecommuting.

Key responsibilities

• Bill accounts electronically and manually, utilizing technology to produce clean claims
• Analyze claims processing reports and apply insights to ensure accurate billing and coding
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory billing requirements and prioritize accounts for efficient service

Required qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and collections
• Knowledge of insurance and CMS regulations
• Ability to interpret claims processing reports
• Familiarity with electronic billing systems
• Participation in educational programs for skill enhancement
