Collections Specialist I

Job Summary

To support revenue cycle operations, the full-time remote Collections Specialist I will perform follow-up on outstanding insurance balances, identify claim issues, and ensure timely resolution while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform follow-up on outstanding insurance balances and document all actions taken on accounts
• Make outbound calls to insurance payers and handle incoming correspondence professionally
• Analyze assigned accounts using various systems to maximize collection efforts and ensure compliance with regulations

Required qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in a related field preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in medical collections, accounts receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle operations required
• Experience with insurance follow-up and claim resolution in a healthcare setting preferred
