Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of moderately complex past-due business accounts, the full-time Collections Support Specialist will utilize standard collection techniques to resolve account delinquency and secure cash flow while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily communication with delinquent commercial customers to cure past-due debt and secure payments
- Negotiate payment arrangements and document customer interactions accurately within the collections system
- Identify and route billing errors or disputes to appropriate internal departments while adhering to compliance standards
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience in B2B or commercial collections
- Foundational understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) or similar compliance frameworks
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage client interactions
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Must successfully pass a background investigation
