Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Colombia News Correspondent will collaborate closely with the Latin America editor to produce a set number of articles each month covering significant events affecting the Church in Colombia, ensuring clarity and adherence to editorial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Latin America editor to provide solid news coverage of events and developments in Colombia
• Submit the agreed number of articles monthly, adhering to specified length and formatting requirements
• Ensure articles are well-written in terms of content, accuracy, style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent writing skills in Spanish
• At least three years of proven experience as an online news writer or in a comparable role
• Able to work in a highly relational and intercultural environment
• Proficiency in English is preferred but not mandatory
