Job Summary
Assisting the Fixed Asset Accountant, the full-time Colorado Licensed Asset Accountant will monitor, record, track, and safeguard the University's fixed assets and bonds while analyzing lease agreements in compliance with GASB standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries in Workday, including GASB 87 lessee entries and monthly bond entries
- Analyze lease agreements and maintain GASB 87 schedules, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Approve invoices and purchase orders for capital projects, ensuring correct coding and alignment with project requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient Excel skills with knowledge of pivot tables or similar tools
- Experience with reconciliations in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Accounting preferred
